THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
AND LEADERSHIP. THEORETICAL ANALYSIS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The modern era, characterized by the acronym VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity), truly poses a challenge to society and professionals in all fields. Rapid changes in events, information and skills create a need for people who are willing to adapt to new conditions and constantly learn new skills. Such changes also require people to be able to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships in a dynamic and unpredictable environment. In recent years, scientists have increasingly paid attention to leadership as an interdisciplinary process covering philosophical, psychological and sociological aspects. Research shows that effective leadership in the VUCA era requires not only high professional competence, but also the ability to be flexible, tolerant of uncertainty, and the ability to inspire and motivate others in the face of constant change. In light of this, it is important that leaders develop not only their technical skills, but also soft skills such as empathy, communication skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of situations. This will help them successfully lead their teams in conditions of uncertainty and complexity, helping to achieve common goals and successfully overcome the challenges of the modern world.
