Abstract (English):
The article examines the powers of the Commissioner for Human Rights and his public assistants. Their role is outlined to ensure discipline in the state and society, to protect the rights and legitimate interests of man and citizen. Examples from the published practice of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Voronezh Region are given.
