The analysis of problems at the early dismissal of heads of municipalities and heads of local administration at the initiative of the highest public official of the subject of the Russian Federation is presented in the article. The author emphasizes the lack of legal certain reasons for the removal of the head of the municipality resigned. Recommendations for improving the legislation in this area are suggested.
