Аннотация: данная статья касается улучшения экологической обстановки в городе путем сокращения использования личных автомобилей для доставки детей в школу. После проведения анализа влияния автотранспорта на здоровье и окружающую среду, и определения объема выбросов вредных веществ, наносимого личными автомобилями, автором был предложен альтернативный вариант перевозки школьников. Автор, оценив эффект от внедрения организованной доставки детей, приходит к выводу, что использование школьных автобусов может существенно снизить количество легкового транспорта на улицах города, что в свою очередь позволит улучшить экологическую обстановку в Челябинске.

За последние десятилетия человечество окончательно убедилось, что в городах одним из основных источников загрязнения атмосферного воздуха является автомобиль. Выхлопные газы, поступающие в атмосферу, где затруднено их рассеивание, поглощают столь необходимый для протекания жизни кислород, и вместе с тем интенсивно загрязняют воздушную среду токсичными компонентами, наносящими ощутимый вред всему живому.
