GOUT ARTHRITIS IN A MULTIMORBID PATIENT
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Gout is a systemic disease associated with the deposition of sodium monaurate crystals in various tissues, which leads to the development of inflammation. Given that the main clinical manifestation of gout is acute arthritis, it is necessary to carry out differential diagnosis with other diseases with similar clinical symptoms. A reliable diagnosis can be made when sodium monaurate crystals are detected in synovial fluid, but this is not always available in practice. Therefore, it is necessary to use a comprehensive assessment: clinical, laboratory, instrumental. Due to the frequent concomitant metabolic disorders that occur in gout, a multidisciplinary approach to the management of such patients is important.

Keywords:
gout, hyperuricemia, treatment of chronic gouty arthritis, tofuses, clinical case.
