On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the famous Russian educator K.D. Ushinsky, we pay him a special tribute. This article examines the state of research by Chinese scientists in the field of pedagogical thought K.D. Ushinsky over the past 40 years. Having summarized the results of research into the pedagogical thought of K.D. Ushinsky in relevant scientific works, monographs and at scientific conferences, as well as in the social networking space, we present a more diverse picture of research. In all aspects of research, we see that Chinese scholars pay more attention to the pedagogical thought of K.D. Ushinsky about the national and labor spirit in education and try to understand and interpret these ideas in the context of the new reality of Chinese education. We believe that in the future the pedagogical thought of K.D. Ushinsky will undoubtedly show his vital energy in the new educational realities of China and Russia.
