Currently, the identification and investigation of environmental crimes is becoming a pressing topic for study. This is due to the development of technology and industrial growth, which pose an insurmountable threat to the environment. The emergence of this danger is explained by the implementation of activities that are potentially dangerous to society and cause great concern in the environmental sphere. Among environmental crimes, a special place is occupied by crimes provided for in Article 246 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In this article, the author examines the forensic and criminal procedural features of verifying a report of violation of environmental protection rules during the production of work.
