PRINCIPLES OF PREVENTING EXTREMISM AND TERRORISM IN MODERN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Extremist activity is a multifaceted phenomenon that encompasses diverse manifestations and forms. It can be expressed through justification of terrorism and acts of violence, violation of the integrity of the State, incitement to interethnic, religious or racial conflicts, as well as propaganda of the idea of one's own superiority and exclusivity over other groups. Extremism also includes the violation of the rights and interests of citizens, as well as the obstruction of free and lawful participation in electoral processes and other aspects of civic life. It can form dangerous social imbalances and threaten the stability of society. Countering extremism and preventing it is a complex task that requires a comprehensive approach and cooperation between law enforcement agencies, educational institutions and society as a whole. It is important to create awareness of the danger of extremist ideas and influence the younger generation so that they share the values of peace, tolerance and civic responsibility.
