The main current approaches in the study of the relationship between language and economic culture are considered. A semiotic approach is singled out, in which economic culture and language are analyzed as collateral subordinate sign systems. The content of the institutional approach is revealed, in which the relationship between language and economic culture looks twofold. On the one hand, language is a basic condition for the existence of economic institutions. On the other hand, economic institutions and traditions directly influence language practices.
