This article discusses the problems associated with air pollution (on the example of the Volgograd region) caused by industry and inefficient processing of solid household waste. Within the framework of this work, special attention is paid to the danger from emissions from incineration plants containing toxic substances, hydrocarbons, heavy metals and other hazardous emissions. Irreversible consequences from the toxic effects of polluted air on human health are noted. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that special attention is paid to the need to put into practice effective control over emissions and recycling of waste in order to protect the environment and public health. When writing the paper, the author actively used a comparative method with elements of partial forecasting.
