The article deals with the problem of the influence of the level of education on the number of crimes committed. The authors analyzed 80 countries according to the education index, the crime index and the human development index. Special attention is paid to the social portrait of crime in the federal districts of Russia. The novelty of the work lies in the general analysis of the interdependence of the level of education and the form of employment on the criminogenic situation in the country. The purpose of the work: to identify the influence of the level of education and the form of employment on the number of crimes committed. When writing the paper, the author used methods of data analysis and processing, a comparative method with elements of partial forecasting.
