The article examines the attitude towards uncertainty as a factor of coping in a situation of insecure employment. Particular attention is paid to the study of this aspect of psychology. The authors explore such concepts as uncertainty tolerance and intolerance. The consequences of the situation of uncertainty for the individual and society are considered. The professional requirements for a person in the labor market are determined.
