The article deals with the issue of improving the educational and methodological literature on the history and culture of the Russian Cossacks. Information is provided on the activities of the North Caucasian Federal University in terms of preserving and popularizing the Cossack traditions in the region and the spiritual and moral revival of the Cossacks as a whole. Proposals are presented for the draft of a unified concept of teaching the history of the Russian Cossacks in educational institutions.
