Quality management is a well-studied scientific paradigm widely used in all areas of production, management and scientific activities. A promising area for the use of quality management is its integration with the provisions of the concept of sustainable development, which is not surprising, because both areas are aimed at reducing consumed resources, minimizing waste, long-term perspective and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. However, in practice, an attempt to transition to sustainability at the same time as maintaining a quality management system is not always feasible due to limited resources, as well as some contradictions between quality and sustainability. This article discusses the impact of quality management on the transformation of organizations on the path to sustainable development based on the examples of specific proposals, methods and approaches.
