This essay is intended to look into the key distinctive features of the Romanian linguistic world view (the ‘LWV’) evolution, focusing on its constant aspects as well as changes that are coming about in the age of globalisation. The author analyses the ethno-national concepts and value archetypes relying on credible linguistic and cultural studies that highlight the fundamentals of the Romanian language consciousness. The unique character of the Romanian LWV is linked to the fact that it bears heavily on cultural origins and folkloric traditions of this people, something that was warranted by the historical conditions of national evolution. The author also provides a detailed analysis of various phenomena embedded in the Romanian language consciousness, including the mioritic space which has no equivalents in other languages and intrinsic ethnonational concepts of this people. The essay indicates that while retaining its fundamental value archetypes, the LWV grew to adopt new trends in universal accomplishments and search in the field of arts. Hence, a sharp focus on the communication aspects of the issue, as well as universality dialectics and the distinctive nature of the contemporary Romania’s LWV.

Кажется труизмом, банальностью мысль о том, что в эпоху глобализации национальные культуры приобрели столь много общих черт, что их можно считать единым целым. Однако едва ли с этим можно согласиться на уровне детального рассмотрения процессов, имеющих место в этих самых «глобализирующихся» культурах, настолько своеобразны происходящие в них лингвокоммуникативные изменения [3, с. 4–5]. Как известно, это своеобразие самым определенным образом выражается (и вместе с тем определяется) языковой картиной мира (в дальнейшем будет использоваться общепринятая аббревиатура ЯКМ. — Т.С.).
Румынская ЯКМ уникальна. Она и по сей день составляет одну из основ консолидации нации, утверждая ее самобытность и неповторимость. Сказанное не означает абсолютной неизменности ценностных оснований национальной культуры, тем более — языка. Языковое сознание каждого народа создает свою ЯКМ в течение всего периода существования, с момента самосознания себя как ценностной нации, развивая, уточняя, дополняя и пересматривая даже те константы, которые составляют ее фундамент. Что и говорить о развитии языка за счет отражения им меняющейся действительности — той среды, которая пронизана языком и которую в то же время язык призван отражать.
ЯКМ каждого народа создает модель мира в соответствии с географией, историей, соответствующей им национальной психологией — менталитетом, где взаимодействуют общечеловеческое, национальное и личностное. Здесь суммирован коллективный опыт, составляющий «несущие конструкции» языкового сознания; запечатлены важнейшие духовные константы, свойственные данному народу.
В целом картину мира можно представить как сложное многоуровневое образование, в которое наряду с лингвистическим уровнем входит множество других; а язык, в свою очередь, закрепляет на вербальном уровне понятийные и до-понятийные знания, религиозный опыт, этические и эстетические ценности, выражая вместе с тем и глубинные пласты мифологического коллективного бессознательного (в духе К. Юнга) [5, с. 287].
