The theoretical and practical basis for creation and development in the CIS countries of modern transport information systems provided with an analysis and investigation function of road traffic accidents circumstances (RTA). The proposed information system allows obtaining the output data measured with high accuracy for road accidents investigations, such as the distance from the vehicle to the accident site at the time of danger occurrence, the vehicle speed, the vehicle speed at the time of the accident occurrence, the time from the moment of danger occurrence till the accident, the steady vehicle deceleration, the braking and stopping distance covered. In the modern examination this data can only be obtained by the calculation method or by witnesses interviewing, which significantly reduces the objectivity of the research in general and in particular the conclusions of the examination proper.
