The paper describes question of evaluating the efficiency of forest management in scope of an approach based on a comparison of energy consumption for the blank products and energy the production potentially contains. Given are approximate equations for determining the energy "value" of production for five species depending on site quality of the stands. The equations set after statistical processing of data related (height stand, average trunk diameter at breast height, number of trees per hectare of forest-covered area, depending on the humidity of wood density and calorific value of the mass of moisture).

Для оценки качества лесохозяйственного производства на определенной лесной площади могут использоваться экономические показатели, однако они в значительной степени будут зависеть от месторасположения лесного участка -удаленности от потребителей и развитости дорожной сети. Поэтому экономическая оценка также не может служить универсальным показателем эффективности рассматриваемого процесса.
