Tradicionno, glavnym kriteriem pri ocenke svoystv i resursov lesov v mnogolesnyh rayonah, sluzhit lesovodstvenno-taksacionnaya ih harakteristika, vklyuchayuschaya 1-13 pokazateley. Sredi poslednih tol'ko tip lesorastitel'nyh usloviy ili tip lesa soderzhit orientirovochnye svedeniya ob ekologicheskoy sostavlyayuschey nasazhdeniya. Pri izvestnoy oblegchennosti v otnosheniyah k soderzhaniyu ponyatiy «tip lesa» predpolagaemaya ekologicheskaya sostavlyayuschaya lesnogo uchastka ostaetsya malo soderzhatel'noy.
