BUSINESS PRESS: THE PROBLEM OF ORTHOGRAPHIC VARIETY OVERRIDING

Abstract (English):
The article is devoted to orthographic variety of modern texts in business press. The subject actuality is driven by multiple variations of written government and private structures names, different written names of factories, funds, associations, programs, personnel positions, ranks, titles, statuses and so on. The most often cases of orthographic variety, caused by selection of capital or lower case letters, quote marks and affix use, are described. The linguistic and extralinguistic factors of orthographic variety are given in the article: insufficiency of full and uncontroversial rules; united standard orthographic dictionary absence; following the written examples found in reputable mass media or Federal databases information instead of following the rules.

Развитие средств массовой информации тесно связано с изменениями, происходящими в разных сферах общественных отношений. Стремительные преобразования в России на рубеже ХХ–ХХI вв. подтолкнули развитие отечественной деловой прессы (о понятии см. [5]), обслуживающей интересы субъектов экономической деятельности, желающих публично информировать об этой деятельности и быть проинформированными о ней с целью развития бизнеса.
