The article is devoted to the Russian experience of the use of public-private partnership, the main problems related to its implementation in the Federation, as well as in the sectors of the construction sector. The article also studied the experience of individual countries in the implementation of public-private partnership. The main event on public-private partnership development, the implementation of which allows today to effectively apply the institute of public-private partnership in solving social problems. In this case, the search for consensus in the understanding of the essence of its authors realized the analysis of general and particular features of the category, including identified: 1) generalized notion category as private; 2) the selection of the essential characteristics of this form of interaction of building infrastructure. Isolation of the common symptoms of the category, achieved within the framework of the analysis of foreign and domestic experience of its use.
