The article focuses on modern trends of development of dialogue mechanisms of the authorities and institutions of civil society in the public policy space. The forms of intersectoral dialogue are considered, contributing to the reduction of the negative civil activity and the increase of the positive one and also their specificity. The research data on the status and development of dialogue platforms in Russia are presented. The insufficient level of structure and development of noncommercial sector is noted in the article. Dialogue mechanisms are in the process of institutionalization. Adjustments in modern model of inter-sector interaction, related with appearing of new forms of civic participation, could have a positive influence on effectiveness of the dialogue and level of political culture in general. The state, as the main subject of management, should respond to the new demands of the society. The mutual aspiration of institutions of public policy toward a common purpose can bring the dialogue mechanisms to the new level of development.
