The article addresses the key areas of globalization in terms of the provisions of international trade and institutional approaches of mutually beneficial business cooperation. The main focus of attention is directed to a detailed analysis of the degree of Russia´s involvement in international trade relations in terms of exports and imports (machinery, nuclear reactors, boilers, electrical and electronic equipment, plastics and articles thereof, optical, technical and medical vehicles, chemical products, organic chemicals, iron and steel, ores, slag, ash, etc.) with major trading partners in the framework of economic unions and associations.
