The presented research article reflects a comprehensive analysis of one of the most frequent communicative tactics of the current U.S. President's political communication in the structure of diplomatic discourse – the political media ultimatum. The article provides the definition of the tactics, its type models, and the ways of linguistic and speech implementation. The methods used include contextual content semantic analysis and media text analysis from a political and sociocultural perspective. The tactics of political media ultimatum are considered within the framework of diplomatic discourse. The concepts of political ultimatum and political media ultimatum are differentiated in the context of the communicative plane. A set of models of speech implementation of political media ultimatum tactics is established. The conducted research allows us to clarify the concept of political media ultimatum in the context of media communication. The theoretical points of the work actualize the analysis of the cognitive format of a political media ultimatum within the framework of diplomatic discourse from the present day perspective. The study focuses on the ultimatum statements made by the current President of the United States, which are reflected in the media sphere. The resulting database includes a wide range of thematic examples based on the media analysis of original diplomatic material.
