Abstract (English):
The paper is devoted to the comparison of semantic features objectifying the lexemes "gorod" and "city" in phraseology. The research is based on the cliche analysis the semantic features of which allows defining the national specific semantic components of the lexeme "gorod" in the Russian language and the lexeme "city" in the English language.
