The article focuses on the role of sociology in the work of public authorities on the analysis of the protest activities of youth organizations. The functions of sociology are shown. For example, the use of predictive functions based on the expert survey method, the indicators are identified that reflect the impact of the protest actions in the social and political situation in the society.
