This article provides a detailed analysis of the relevance and strategic importance of implementing modern personnel search and selection methods in the practical operations of Russian companies. Particular attention is paid to the evolution of approaches to human resource management, where traditional methods are gradually being replaced by innovative recruiting and candidate assessment technologies. The study identified key innovative personnel selection methods, including digital tools, automated competency assessment systems, and psychological and social testing methods used in practice. A systems analysis identifies both the positive and negative aspects of using mod-ern methods. Positive aspects include accelerating the hiring process, increasing the accuracy of candidate matching, reducing the human factor in competency assessment, and developing a more dynamic HR policy. At the same time, the article identifies the risks of overreliance on automated systems, potential distortion in the assessment of candidates' personal qualities, and a diminished role for managers' subjective expertise. The article proposes an improved personnel selection system based on the integration of traditional and innovative methods. Particular attention is paid to a com-prehensive assessment of candidates using multi-level selection criteria, including professional skills, personal qualities, motivation, and development potential. The study develops practical recommen-dations for implementing modern recruitment methods in Russian companies, including a sequence of steps, assessment tools, and recommendations for minimizing the risks associated with the digi-talization of recruitment. Thus, the article demonstrates the need for a comprehensive approach to recruitment that combines historically established practices and modern technological solutions, thereby facilitating the development of a competitive and adaptive organizational structure. The re-sults obtained can be used both in corporate HR management practices and in further research on the development of HR strategies in the context of digital transformation.
