    <p>От момента появления первого кардиостимулятора до его совершенствования и широкого применения в современной кардиологии прошло более 100 лет усердной работы, научных экспериментов и исследований огромного количества кардиологов, кардиохирургов, физиологов и инженеров. Статья посвящена электрокардиостимуляции, интервенционной манипуляции, которая является самым эффективным и, в большинстве случаев, единственным методом лечения клинически значимых брадиаритмий. Представлена информация о видах современных кардиостимуляторов, их отличиях и особенностях применения в разных клинических ситуациях, описана методика ресинхронизирующей терапии, а также возможности электрокардиостимуляторов (ЭКС) для лечения  и профилактики тахиаритмий.</p>

    <p>From the moment the first pacemaker appeared to its improvement and widespread use in modern cardiology, more than 100 years of hard work, scientific experiments and research by a huge number of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, physiologists and engineers have passed. The article is devoted to electrocardiostimulation, interventional manipulation, which is the most effective and, in most cases, the only method of treating clinically significant bradyarrhythmias. Information is provided on the types of modern pacemakers, their differences and application features in different clinical situations, the technique of resynchronization therapy, as well as the possibilities of pacemakers for the treatment and prevention of tachyarrhythmias.</p>
