<abstract xml:lang="ru">

The article is devoted to the Borough of Southampton and its’ most important places in the time of reign of Henry VI. The importance of the chosen town objects is connected with their usage by the freemen of the borough, officials of the monarch for the needs of the state and foreign merchants in different spheres of town life in the fifteenth century. The loci what are observed in this work include: the Bargate (the entrance into the old fortified town), the fortifications themselves, medieval vaults, the Guildhall, the Weigh House and other. Drawing on historical written sources and facts, the author of the article reconstructs some pages of life of late medieval Southampton and shows, what role the objects chosen for consideration played. The article demonstrates, that even today these areas of this port town play significant role for the modern Southampton, not only as interesting sights for tourists visiting old medieval borough, but also as the objects to use in everyday life. This act is possible thanks to the illustrations found on the official web site of Southampton. In spite of the fact, what not all the researched loci could be seen on the illustrations, historical written sources helped the author of the article to reveal the way they could look back in late medieval time and the role they played not only for the town dwellers on the local level but also for the borough itself on the level of the island England of the Henry VI era.
