   <abstract xml:lang="ru">
    <p>Хроническая почечная недостаточность является одной из наиболее значимых проблем глобального здравоохранения, охватывающей до 10% мирового населения. В Российской Федерации число пациентов с данным заболеванием оценивается в 14 миллионов человек. Основными факторами риска для развития хронической почечной недостаточности служат ожирение, артериальная гипертензия и курение. Рост численности пациентов с ХБП влечет за собой значительные социально-экономические последствия. Ключевые факторы риска включают в себя старение, сахарный диабет и ожирение. Профилактика хронического заболевания почек включает систематическое наблюдение за здоровьем, повышение осведомленности населения и улучшение доступности медицинской помощи. В данной статье рассматривается проблема хронического заболевания почек в России и предлагаются пути улучшения диагностики и лечения.</p>

   <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
    <p>Chronic renal failure is one of the most significant problems of global health care, covering up to 10% of the world population. In the Russian Federation, the number of patients with this disease is estimated at 14 million people. The main risk factors for the development of chronic renal failure are obesity, arterial hypertension and smoking. The growing number of patients with CKD has significant socio-economic consequences. Key risk factors include aging, diabetes mellitus and obesity. Prevention of chronic kidney disease includes systematic health surveillance, increasing public awareness and improving access to health care. This article reviews the problem of chronic kidney disease in Russia and suggests ways to improve diagnosis and treatment.</p>
