Целью настоящей статьи является анализ лингвокультурных единиц повести Н.В. Гоголя «Невский проспект» и выявление способов их перевода на грузинский язык. Как показал сопоставительный анализ, превалирующими способами передачи рассматриваемых единиц 
в переводе повести «Невский проспект» являются транслитерация, приближенный перевод, калькирование. В статье также анализируются способы элиминирования этнографических лакун и перевода индивидуально-авторских средств выразительности с точки зрения их успешности.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the linguacultural units of N.V. Gogol's novella «Nevsky Prospekt» and identify ways to translate them into Georgian. As the comparative analysis has shown, the prevailing ways of transferring the considered units in the translation of the story «Nevsky Prospekt» are transliteration, approximate translation, and calculus. The article also analyzes the ways of eliminating ethnographic gaps and translating individual author's means of expression in terms of their success.
