В статье рассмотрена семантика розы в прозе позднего Гофмана в контексте представлений о природе раннего и позднего романтизма. Актуальность и новизна темы обусловлена ее неизученностью в немецком и отечественном литературоведении. «Цветочные образы» Гофмана анализируются как в связи с эстетическими представлениями писателя, так и с культурной традицией.
The article examines the semantics of the rose in the prose of late Hoffmann in the context of ideas about the nature of early and late Romanticism. The relevance and novelty of the topic is due to its lack of study in German and Russian literary studies. Hoffmann's "flower images" are analyzed both in connection with the aesthetic ideas of the writer and with the cultural tradition.
