THE HISTORY OF RECONSTRUCTION OF CINEMAS OF THE SOVIET PERIOD IN MOSCOW

Abstract (English):
The article examines the history of the reconstruction of the old cinemas in Moscow, built in Soviet times, which were the cultural centers of the districts of the capital. The necessity of implementing such a decision, which has been implemented in the city since 2017 under the control of the mayor, is justified. The creation of multifunctional centers on the site of old cinemas allows us to meet almost all the emerging needs of people. In addition, new jobs are emerging, which are especially relevant for any large metropolis. Modern technologies are widely used in the reconstruction of old cinema buildings, including panoramic glazing. Sixteen facilities have already been put into operation and have opened their doors to numerous visitors. They are integrated into a modern urbanized space and create a good artistic expression of the urban environment.
