The article is devoted to the concept of "tactics for the production of investigative actions", its formation, development, as well as legal consolidation throughout the history of Russia. The essence of the need to confront the law and crime is characterized. The development of Russian legislation in some historical periods is analyzed, taking into account the understanding and formulation of investigative actions as a legally fixed phenomenon. Regularities and trends in the development of the regulatory framework of investigative actions, the addition of new and the eradication of old investigative actions are revealed.
