Abstract (English):
The ESG strategy is gaining popularity every year and is becoming relevant every day. The banking sector of the Russian Federation is no exception to the trends, which has been making attempts to introduce ESG principles into its development strategies since 2020. Identifying the dependence of the implementation of the ESG strategy and the economic growth of the banking sector of the Russian Federation will make it possible to form recommendations on the transition of Russian banks to the principles of ESG to maintain sustainable economic growth and introduce flexibility in management processes, which will allow meeting the challenges of modernity in a timely or in advance.
