The article substantiates the relevance of the introduction of a risk-based approach in the activities of a trade organization. The stages of risk management are presented, as well as the technologies and methods used in each of them. The risk management algorithm is developed on the example of the organization of retail trade in non-food products and the results of the application of various risk management methods are presented.
