The victory over the aggressor was achieved with great difficulty all country. Military action captured all the inhabitants of different status: pupils and students, and workers and peasants, and intellectuals and housewives. This war was a harsh past in the fate of millions of people of our country, permanently leaving deep scars in the fields and woods. Battle of Stalingrad is one of the most tragic and glorious pages in the history of our country.Keywords: Great Patriotic War, front, war, heroism, the Red Army, Russian soldiers,Victory Day.At this time there were a lot of movies, books about courage and heroism of Soviet troops, home front workers, which led us to victory.My grandmother often told me and my brothers and sisters about this battle. Before the war, my grandmother lived in Krasnoarmeysk district of Stalingrad. She recalled: “Our family lived in the house outside “Yzkij pereylok”, but we ran to Krasnoarmejskaja area to learn, where there were three schools. In our area there was a German colony settlement, where many Russian and German families lived together for many years and got married. At elementary school, number 1, I studied together with German children and we were friends with the families of Irma, and Elsa Ttel, Erna Baus, and then I continued studies at school number 22.
