At the stage of development of modern medicine the practitioners are increasingly faced with this criterion of evaluation of their work as a patient´s quality of life. Despite the growing interest in the patient´s personality, not only to his illness, the doctor objectively cann’t assess his condition in general. The patients may feel their inferiority, change the basic life parameters. Indicators such as quality of life, provides an objective assessment on the part of the patient, based on the physical and emotional components, as well as the possibility of social functioning. The study of the quality of life of patients has become the leading concept in various fields of medicine, because it is one of the criteria for quality of care. To study the quality of life of patients with mental disorders of organic origin the authors used the standardized questionnaire SF -36, it allows to determining their changes in the basic parameters of quality of life. The indicators on the scale allow to estimate the leadingproblems in functioning in accordance with their mental status as in syndrome level and in level of existing psychopathology and to identify the most vulnerable components of the quality of life of patients with organic brain pathology
