The article analyzes international and Russian examples of climate policy implementation, including programs from the EU, the USA, and China, as well as Russian initiatives in the field of decarbonization, adaptation, and corporate sustainability. Special attention is paid to the social significance of the climate agenda: the transformation of social norms, changes in consumer behavior, the development of environmental activism, the formation of new professional competencies and changes in the employment structure. The empirical part includes an analysis of emissions statistics, climate risks, IPCC, Roshydromet, Rosstat data, as well as cases of large companies — Norilsk Nickel, Gazprom Neft, Rosatom, Russian Railways, Severstal, Beber, Yandex, X5 Group, as well as international corporations Ørsted, Tesla, Unilever.
