Road irregularities are one of the main causes of traffic accidents. It is known from experience of drivers that accidents most often occur when the vehicle leaves a pothole due to difficulties associated with steering. There are no absolutely flat surfaces on roads and terrain, and the unevenness can also be located across or at an acute angle to the movement direction, exceeding the parameters allowed by regulations in some cases. The operation experience shows that the road micro profile affects the change in the direction of the car lateral movement. If the car is moving along a linear path, then irregularities lead to the fact that such movement in the profile may be a curve. The paper objective. To study the influence of the road micro profile on the change in the kinematics of the pneumatic wheel of the vehicle. The task. Using the research results to develop devices for vehicle movement stabilization, taking into account changes in the road profile. The research methods are based on the principles of interacting a pneumatic wheel propeller with the road surface and the basic principles of theoretical mechanics. The novelty of the work. Theoretical dependences are obtained that make it possible to evaluate qualitatively and quantitatively the change in the speed of the wheel movement when encountering a threshold obstacle. The study results. Taking into account the research results obtained, it is possible to monitor changes in the coefficient of wheel slipping, as well as to make a device for stabilizing vehicle movement over rough terrain. Conclusions. A quantitative assessment of changes in vehicle control allows to make proposals for improving wheel movement stabilizers over rough terrain, as well as to develop recommendations for road safety.
