The article analyzes the current state and trends of the market for assessing intellectual property and intangible assets in Russia. The purpose of the study is to identify the causes of the imbalance between the volume of public investment in R&D and the low demand for professional assessment of the created results of intellectual activity. The methodology includes a statistical analysis of data from the RAEX rating agency (2021–2024), a comparative analysis of the financial statements of leading companies in the innovation sector (ROSNANO, ROSATOM, Yandex, etc.) for 2011, 2019 and 2024, as well as a study of the regulatory framework and international valuation standards. In conclusion, measures are proposed to change the current situation.
