The paper attempts to assess the influence of the educational structure of human capital of employed workers on the income level of the population. For the assessment, correlation analysis was used, and regression models were built using regional statistics. The results showed that in regions with a highincome level, the use of labor of workers with higher education and with secondary vocational education of mid-level specialists has a positive effect on the income of the population. The use of labor of skilled workers and persons without vocational education has a negative effect on the income level of the population in regions with a high-income level. In regions with a low per capita in-come level, outdated technological patterns are widespread, in which the labor of skilled workers is in demand, which, as is known, cannot ensure a high-income level of the population. The results of assessing the impact of the use of labor of workers with different levels and forms of education on the income level of the population may indicate that the country's economy combines the spread of both outdated industrial and new post-industrial technological patterns. In low-income regions, it is necessary to create new modern production facilities that could ensure the transition to modern technological systems.
