The paper analyzes the features of reconciliation of the parties as participants in controversial public legal relations in the context of the Russian Federation. Emphasis is placed on the reduction in administrative cases in recent years in which conciliation procedures are applied. Based on the fact that there are fewer disputes in courts on cases arising from public legal relations, the need to apply conciliation procedures is also reduced and may require implementation in a smaller number of cases. The specificity of conciliation procedures in relation to the parties as participants in controversial public legal relations is emphasized in relation to conciliation procedures in civil proceedings, where the procedures under study are more in demand. The reasons for the low demand for the institution of mediation among parties as participants in controversial public legal relations are identified and ways to resolve them are proposed.
