The problems of studying the institution of procurement in public law relations are a fairly relevant topic for modern science. Using a deductive method, the author approaches the consideration of the place of the institute of procurement in the system of public law sciences through the concept of a legal institution. The article discusses in detail three approaches, depending on which research object is the main one, including the attribution of the institute of procurement to financial and budgetary, civil, and administrative law. An analysis of these approaches allows us to conclude that the Institute of procurement is a complex interdisciplinary legal institution. The author notes that the rules of financial, civil and administrative law are applied taking into account the specifics regulated by the legislation on the contract system. The result of the author's research is the conclusion that the integration of all approaches should lead to a universal synthesis to overcome intersectoral disunity and achieve high efficiency. The author emphasizes the complexity and multidimensional nature of the institute of procurement, which requires an integrated interdisciplinary approach to its study and application
