The purpose of this article is to substantiate theoretically the choice of a risk management method for projects to create and launch high-tech products within the Smart-Stage-Gate model. The significance of key risk indicators (KRI) in the implementation of the Smart-Stage-Gate model is substantiated, the use of which at each stage of the development and production of high-tech products, taking into account their specifics, will reduce the risks of the impossibility of implementation or unprofitability of the project. The need to develop key risk indicators for each stage of the project life cycle and assess the aggregate risk of managing the end-to-end process of creating and launching high-tech products based on the digital model "Smart-Stage-Gate" is shown. The requirements for the characteristics of key risk indicators are defined, indicators for each stage of managing the process of creating and launching high-tech products are proposed, and a risk assessment scale is developed. The proposed method of risk management for projects to create and launch high-tech products will ensure that decisions are made with the lowest level of aggregated internal risk.
