The article summarizes the possible effects of anti-Russian and response sanctions in the agricultural sector of the Russian economy. The legislative modernization of national agricultural policy is analyzed, the method of determining the required volume of state financial support to agricultural enterprises is proposed and tested to overcome the disparity in prices and to stimulate business activity.
